When renovating your commercial unit, HDB requires a QP to submit an application to the relevant Authorities. Depending on the planned works, there may be some exceptions. Our experts are here to adivce you on the most efficient procedures.

FSSD (Fire Safety & Shelter Department)
Under the Fire Safety Act, a Notice of Approval for your Proposed work shall be obtained before the commencement of site works. There is an extensive list of fire safety requirements depending on the type of activity involved and the location at which your project is located in. We are able to advise you on these FSSD submission requirements in order to obtain the Fire Safety Certificate. The documents required for submission can include:

JTC

JTC renovation permit application

As specified by JTC, all fitting-out/renovation works, regardless of whether temporary or permanent, need to be approved by JTC and the relevant authorities before works can commence. This process involves 5 Steps and requires a QP who can advice you on the necessary approvals.
